Remembering the beginning of the Great war (28 July 1914 – 11 November 1918)

My grandfather Joseph Krzic (Jožef Kržič) in a worn out Austrian uniform, looking tired. As a Sentinel? I have no idea where it was, but it might have been at the Soča (Kobarid) front line, where some of the bloodiest and most bizarre battles had taken place. Dolina Soče

 I have visited the Imperial War Museum in London last month. They have an excellent exhibition on the Great war (WW I).
